Kibale National Nark covers an area of 760 sq km and has a variety of primates estimated at 13 species that include red, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, baboons and a large number of chimpanzees which are a must-view when ones visit the park. Fascinating to see is the dense rain forest surroundings. The park has a population of more than 1000 Chimpanzees, over 340 species of birds, 27 species of frogs and toads and 14 species of snakes.

Kibale Forest Safari offers an excellent opportunity to see chimps; though once you have found them, keeping up can be quite a challenge if they decide to move on through the branches at high speed.

Trip Itinerary for Kibale National Park

Day 1: Transfer to Kampala.
Our driver picks you up from the Airport and transfers you to Kampala for your overnight. You have the freedom to have a Kampala City Tour basing upon the time of arrival time. Overnight at Serena, Sheraton Hotel, Hotel Africana, Mosa Courts or any other booked accommodation.

kibaleDAY 2: Move to Kibale National Park Uganda. 
Early morning you will be picked up from your Hotel and be driven to Fort Portal district via Mityana and Mubende. You may have a stop at the Nakayima tree shrine believed to be hosting the spirit of Nakayima.

You will also make other stops at different attractive places along the way. From here, you will have a lunch break before touching down late afternoon in Fort Portal. You will spend your night at Valley Kibale Crater, Fort Motel, Rwenzori View Guest House, Ndali Lodge.

DAY 3: Kibale Park Tour
Early in the morning get ready for an early morning walk through Kibale forest in search of chimps and other primates. Led by the experienced guides, your trip will give you a deeper insight into the lives of primates and you will be stunned to discover how well these primates are organized and close to human beings.

At the park, you will see primates like l’hoestes, red colobus, blue-red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for lunch and then after visit Bigodi wetland swamp for nature walk, bird watching and primate viewing. In the evening, you will retire at either Ndali Logde or Crater Valley Kibale.

DAY 4: Visit Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru, Drive to Kampala
In the morning you will go out towards Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru and come face to face with stalactites and stalagmites. Take a breath of air walk around the vegetation and take some breathtaking pictures before you go back to the lodge to enjoy your lunch. Set off for Kampala in the afternoon and arrive in the evening. Retire to your Hotel for dinner and overnight as you wait for the next day’s airport transfer by our driver for your next flight.
